Allergies.

Allergy occurs when a person's immune system reacts to substances in the environment that are harmless to most people. These substances are known as allergens and are found in dust mites, pets, pollen, insects, ticks, moulds, foods, and drugs (medications).

In Australia, allergies are on the rise, affecting approximately one in five individuals. The causes of allergies are varied, and the symptoms can range from mild to severe.

• Collect information about customer allergy relief needs 

• Assess customer information and determine if there is a need for referral 

• Recognise signs and symptoms of allergy
